Dossier

Longtail is an female androgynous tiefling artificer and a fervent member of Bromocorah Inc., their staunch communist ideals and eccentric habits making them a striking figure in the guild. Standing at 5’8”, Longtail has a wiry, lean frame, their deep crimson skin shimmering faintly with an infernal glow, a hallmark of their tiefling heritage. Their long, whip-like tail—hence their name—sways constantly, often holding tools or, bizarrely, an apple they use to intimidate others. Their amber eyes, slit like a cat’s, gleam with a mix of fiery conviction and mischievous intent, and their short, jet-black hair is shaved on the sides, with the top left long and tied into a small bun adorned with a gear-shaped pin. Two curved, obsidian horns sweep back from their forehead, polished to a shine, and a faint scar runs across their left cheek, a memento from a past experiment gone wrong.

Longtail’s attire reflects their artificer skills and disregard for personal possession. They wear a patched leather apron over a simple gray tunic, the apron’s pockets stuffed with gears, wires, and small gadgets they’ve tinkered with—none of which they claim as “theirs,” insisting they belong to “the collective.” Their trousers are sturdy, with extra pockets sewn on for tools, and their boots are scuffed but reinforced with metal plates of their own design. A pair of goggles with cracked lenses rests on their forehead, often pulled down when they’re tinkering, and a utility belt around their waist holds an array of small inventions, including a mechanical spider that skitters around them, which they refer to as “Comrade Crawler.” In their hand, they often clutch an apple—not to eat, but to intimidate, waving it menacingly while declaring, “The apple of the revolution sees all, comrade!”—a habit that confuses and unnerves both allies and enemies alike.

As an artificer, Longtail is a master of crafting magical devices, creating gadgets like explosive traps, mechanical shields, or a crossbow that fires bolts of lightning, all of which they insist are “for the collective good.” Their communist ideals shape everything they do—they speak in a true communist manner, avoiding possessive language (“This is the people’s hammer, not mine!”), express confusion about currency (“What is coin? I need to use coin? I thought people can borrow the product in front of you??”), and act with a communal mindset, often referring to shared resources or even relationships in collective terms (“It’s OUR girlfriend!”). This ideology extends to their interactions, where they freely share their creations but expect others to do the same, sometimes leading to tension when their guildmates don’t quite grasp their worldview.

My name is Longtail

If you go towards South from the southeast then breaking through the mountains of Wind shear where the gust never stop howling. You will find a lonely port where people live their life on fishing giants squids.

Across that port a little to east into the vast of Azure sea, above the nesting ground of many Leviathan, is the land where I came from.

Here our people live far different from the residents of this city.

Parent didn't exist in the tongue of our homeland, our mentors are came and go like a cuckoo giving their young for other to take care.

Home is mobile concept for us. No hound will bite you in sleep, nor other folk will shout at you that you didn't belong here. As long as the building stand, you can sleep anywhere whenever you wish for.

Foods came from the tree , the ground an the sea. If you are talented enough to to solve math, or strong enough to move boulder or adorable enough to sing a song. Food also came from those hand of the benelovents.

In our lands we have Karma. Do you know what Karma is? Is like.. something like a limiter for your boundaries. You can't do this and do that if your Karma is to low, but if it was very high you are pretty much a free being. A Gold dragon in the peak of mountain.

You can increase your Karma by doing things that contribute or liked by society or decrease it by doing things that dislike or discontribute by society (Meta; Karma is like Social Credit System)

Karma is an unaccounted value, they held by people that known or remember you, a community. If you held no community your Karma will be (0). In one community your Karma might be (+) while on other community your karma can be (-). The Karma defend between you and the community, not by the coin you held like here.

When we were young we dreamt of becoming Wizards, because nonetheless if you born hideous with a muscle of feeble. That just automatically put your Karma on (-) in any community you are. No one start on the same Karma, equality has to be earned.

The Association of High Wizards is the biggest and the most famous community in this land. Being part of the association is enough to elevate your Karma into (++). Enough to lift you up from the pit you born in.

But... I didn't past the test. Cause if you can't lit a Fireball instead of small light of candle. You can't pass as Wizards.

It almost went badly for me...until I met this strange Union were they recruit young capable of Tinkering and Smithing. Although it was a long years of training and painstaking grinding. But all of it is worth the Karma, Who need to chant Fire Ball if you could make Flamethower out of Barrel and Oil? Why need ritual to summon familiar if you can brew your own Homnculus? I made a lot of friends here and a lot of positive karma.

But one day our Chieftain said.

'It is time for Revolution we are going to war with High Wizards Association, and establish new order'

They said, and the next day I was in the battle field firing my gun against radiants of wands. Dragons against Catapults. People are die, the friends I held dear are dying. The land has turn into chaos of wagering battle.

After the war has finally recede with no one seems to know who the winners is. I came to the Chieftain, I ask this to them; The Wizards have fled, People are killed, and the friends I held dear are dying in the medical beds.

'How come Karma exist if no one is exist to know or remember the struggle Im going through?'

The Chieftain didn't said much, they pull out a heavy pouch containing gold's coin into table, then push it to me.

'The new order has established now. Karma is obsolete, I have converted your Karma into this coin. You may leave. '

That was... disappointing per say, the coins can't help the friend I hold dear cured, it can't held ruin to stand, it can't grow into food when you plant it or lure fishes when you hook it. It can't... It can't bring back people that has been death. The High Wizards may bring back dead people, the coin didn't.

That is why i run, sailing towards the sea and never look back.

Sails.. paddle.. swimming, and running.

Run as fast as my leg can bring me, until I got stranded, towards the north and eventually reached this city."

Guild Roles

Within Bromocorah Inc., Longtail’s communist fervor and intimidating apple-waving make them a polarizing but invaluable member. Kilionzel appreciates their ingenuity but often has to mediate when Longtail tries to “redistribute” the group’s loot, gently explaining the need for individual shares while Longtail mutters about “bourgeois tendencies.” Demit finds their ideology fascinating from a theoretical standpoint, engaging in debates about power and ownership, though he rolls his eyes when Longtail waves their apple at him during an argument. Verin, ever self-loving, tries to charm Longtail into making her a “star-worthy” gadget, which they agree to as long as it’s “for the collective,” and Rimeus, with his love for nature, works with Longtail to create eco-friendly inventions, though he gently steers them away from using their apple to “intimidate” forest creatures. Tamago’s impulsiveness pairs chaotically with Longtail’s inventions, often leading to spectacular (and unintended) explosions, which Longtail declares a “victory for the people.”

Longtail’s role in the guild is as a tinkerer and innovator, providing magical gadgets and mechanical support that often turn the tide in battle, though their communist ideals and apple-waving intimidation tactics add a layer of unpredictability. They’re fiercely loyal to the group—seeing Bromocorah Inc. as their “collective family”—and their creations, while sometimes eccentric, are always designed with the group’s survival in mind. Longtail’s journey with the guild is one of balancing their revolutionary ideals with the practical realities of adventuring, their apple becoming a strange symbol of their unyielding commitment to the cause, even as it leaves their guildmates both amused and slightly intimidated.
