Previous Episode: Sands of Time - S01 E04
After three and a half days of travel from the sunken library, the adventurers arrived in the desert town of Adarq on the 56th day of Asdeh, 2979 ADM. Their first stop was the local tavern, the Filled Glass, where they were greeted by the smell of questionable beer. Butters P. Nutts quickly made a connection with Valys Macadamia, a charming halfling and the daughter of Selenar Macadamia, the magnate behind a vast nuts business empire in Qamaria. Striking up a conversation, Butters and Juulia Troski managed to secure a business deal with Selenar to distribute Butters' delectable Peanut Butter across the region. Meanwhile, Emberglow and Jack ‘Jacky’ Can discovered a wanted poster in the tavern, offering a 1000 gold reward for Billy Ryler, last seen at the camel stable. Wasting no time, Emberglow, Nash Gu'lad, Jacky and Abby headed to the stable, where they met Aephina and her favorite camel, Jakob—a talking camel with a talent for jokes. Jakob revealed that someone had tried to buy him, leaving behind a jacket marked with the initials W.B.R., which they deduced stood for William "Billy" Ryler.
As they pondered this clue, a half-drunk man named Frank Gallagher arrived to collect the jacket. Confronted by the adventurers, Frank confessed he had stolen the jacket from a cart heading north towards Khar Benidir. Leading them to the cart, they found it abandoned beside the road, near a broken portal that had recently been used—likely by Billy Ryler himself. With this new information, the adventurers have to continue their path leading them back towards Khar Benidir in pursuit of the master thief.
