Butters P. Nutts returned to the Merchant’s Guild, remembering the deal he had struck with the Macadamia trading empire. His P. Nutts Butter was now a product on the rise, and he expected his share. Instead, he was escorted by Valys Macadamia, the noblewoman he shared a budding relationship with, to a private room where her father, Selenar Macadamia, awaited. There, a large sack of gold—3,000 shining coins—sat on the table, a tempting reward. But the meeting turned sour. Selenar revealed he had betrayed Butters’ father years ago, stealing his ideas and wealth, which led to the man’s downfall. Now, he’d done the same to Butters, seizing on his peanut-based inventions without any legal protection. The gold was a payoff, not a partnership. Humiliated and furious, Butters took the coins but vowed vengeance. Valys said nothing.
Elsewhere, Davkas Grosko and Juulia Troski tended to their fruit stall in the market. As business boomed, a shadow from Davkas’ past emerged—a gnome from the Shadow Shroom, his old thieves’ guild. The gnome’s news was grim: the guild leader, Skullcap, was on his way to Farrock. When Skullcap arrives, answers will be demanded—and debts might be collected in blood. At the same time, Emberglow wandered the city in search of potential allies. Reuniting with Arnie Knucklebog and Thorne, the kobold wizard, he proposed forming a new crew—one not bound by guilds or crowns. They ventured to the mage guild to find their other friends. Rasa Arziki arrived exactly at the same time as Emberglow and sought information, but gaining access to the magical archives required membership. Instead, the guild’s headmage pointed them toward a man named Captain Jack, a sailor at the Wicked Wench tavern rumored to know the secrets of resurrection—exactly the knowledge Rasa needed to sever the magical chains binding the Red Knights to Long John Silver.
Meanwhile, in the temple, Red Flint made his way back to the sacred halls. He had seen the marauders—those same men who had attacked his childhood temple—and though he did not confront them, their presence weighed heavily on him. Inside the temple, he knelt before the icons of the Pelagic Hosts, seeking clarity. The priest told him of Ao Shun, the Northern Dragon King. In that moment, as he pledged himself to Ao Shun, Flint then approached cloaked dragonborns. They revealed a forbidden secret: beneath the towering statue of Baisora, Farrock’s guardian deity, slumbers a chained dragon—one held in magical stasis for generations. The dragonborns, followers of Ao Shun, believe the time has come for it to be freed, and they see Flint as a chosen vessel of their god. After all the discovering, they all ventured to their next task.
