The Sea Lord of Kardunash was an ancient and prestigious title dating back to the days of the Kardunashi Kingdom. The Sea Lords governed the overseas territories of the Kardunashi realm and maintained the Kardunashi fleet. Initially, this meant that they governed only a few small islands, though several Sea Lords of great ambition began making farther and farther conquests. As such, the power of the Sea Lords waxed over time as they established more and more colonies under their jurisdiction, referred to as the Realm of the Sea.
