Nestled against the walls of Arcanopolis is the small settlement of Whorefield. As the name implies, Whorefield is a tightly packed cluster of brothels, bathhouses, taverns, and gaming houses. With the exception of the more expensive brothels in the inner city, Whorefield boasts the best brothels in the Imperial Domain. With the exception of the Sex Workers themselves, very few people live in Whorefield, with most of the population at any time being brothel patrons.
The Whorefield whores joke that Whorefield was founded by High Priest Kro III, also called Kro the Clipped. A notoriously prudish and zealous man, Kro III demanded Shahanshah Pelegon VI expel whores from the city to cleanse it of sin. While Pelegon complied, he resettled the whores of his favorite brothel just outside the city walls. Around this brothel, now the only one in the city, more brothels, winesinks, and taverns grew.
The largest brothel in Whorefield, the Clipped Kro, is named in reference to the founding of Whorefield.
