Archpriest of Pelegon

Kro III, born Garthel Ashayesh, was a member of House Ashayesh who became the Archpriest of Pelegon during the reign of Pelegon VI. Kro III was a famously pious and zealous man, to the point of infuriating the court with his frequent pious sermons and admonishments. For his disdain of lust and sex, he was mockingly called Kro the Clipped in court and across the Imperium. He is most famous for his leading role in the foundation of Whorefield. Kro III demanded the closure of every brothel, pleasure house, and gambling den in Arcanopolis and exerted immense pressure on the young Pelegon VI to affect this demand. The Shahanshah complied, but resettled the Sex Workers of his favorite brothel outside the city walls, so that he could still visit and lay with them. Many other displaced sex workers flocked to the area, reestablishing their pleasure houses in the shadow of the city walls while Kro fumed and Pelegon feigned ignorance. From that "seed of sin," as Kro called it, Whorefield grew, eventually becoming one of Arcanopolis' thirteen districts.
