The Lord of the Pillars is the primary title of House Rochis. The title is ancient, dating back to the Kardunashi Sea Empire, with the minor House Rochis being granted land near the mouth of the River Canith. The other titles of House Rochis are Voice of Canithi and Lord-Admiral of the Canith. During the period of independent Rochisi rule following the fall of the Kardunashi Sea Empire, they held the titles King of the Canith, and King of the Pillars. As House Rochis came to dominate and subjugate the lands surrounding Canithi, they additionally styled themselves King of the West Coast.
