Adianna of Arcanopolis, known as the False Princess, was a girl who was claimed to be the daughter of Oderion III Pelegon and his wife Roshana. Several disgruntled lords who stilled harbored loyalties to Oderion III's line gravitated around her and supported her claim, leading to a brief rebellion called the War of the False Daughter. She was spared on account of her youth and named as a servant in the Imperial household, where she remained until her death at the age of fifty-nine. 

Scholars generally agree that Adianna was not the daughter of Oderion III. Oderion and Roshana had only been married for a few weeks before her death, making it impossible for them to have carried a child to term after their marriage, however they had been lovers for a year before their wedding, making it possible that they had a child prior to or shortly after their marriage, though there is no record of Roshana ever showing signs of pregnancy. Adianna, though lacking Purple Eyes (her's were a deep green), had the characteristic red hair of House Pelegon, and some historians speculate that she may have been an imperial bastard or the descendant of one. Some candidates for her possible parent include Oderion II, Shazia Pelegon, Mariah Pelegon, or Beldranos Pelegon. Most historians, however, concur that she was simply a red-haired peasant girl raised up as royalty by disgruntled lords to effect the removal of a hated monarch.
