Roshana was a blacksmith's apprentice working in the forge of the Golden Palace. She fell in love with Prince Oderion Pelegon, eldest child and heir of Shahanshah Oderion II, and the two secretly eloped. Their marriage enraged Oderion II, who had her and her family drawn and quartered and forced his son to watch. This act led Oderion to murder his father.
