The Crown of Pelgos is a crown of the Pelegonic dynasty. It was the second crown to be constructed by the Shahanshahs and has been worn by many rulers since its creation.
The Crown was commissioned by Pelgos I Pelegon, the fourth Shahanshah. Seeking to differentiate himself from the more somber reigns of his brother Oderion I and niece Bellia I, Pelgos I emphasized opulence and splendor during his reign. Part of his intentional effort to create a culture of impressiveness and majesty around the Imperial person was the construction of a new and more opulent crown.
Pelgos' crown is, like the crown of his father, cylindrical and made of metal which has been dyed purple. However, the purple is more vibrant, and the crown is inlaid with a variety of gemstones, large and small, as well as being thickly banded with gold. The crown is also taller than Pelegon's crown.
