At its center stood a cluster of stone and timber buildings arranged around a wide common green. Surrounding the green were the key fixtures of daily life: the Drunken Dodo inn and tavern, the Lashar House of Learning, and the Ashaba Provisioner. Beyond them stretched open fields, orchards, and barns, divided by winding dirt roads and low stone fences that marked generations of toil.

Harvest Town had been governed informally by its mayor, Darin Aumersair, a descendant of the Aumersair line, though decisions were made communally, with the town’s most respected elders and guild heads often advising him. Faith in Chauntea, the Great Mother, ran deep; her symbol had been carved above field gates and painted on doorframes. Festivals were simple and heartfelt, celebrating the cycles of planting and plenty rather than grandeur.

Though modest in size, Harvest Town had been self-sufficient and well-regarded across the Dalelands for its berries, cheeses, livestock, and orchard fruits. Travelers had found it a welcome stop, a place of rest and honest company, and locals rarely wandered far. To those who remembered it, Harvest Town embodied the enduring heart of the Dalelands: quiet resilience, warm hospitality, and a steadfast faith that the land would always provide for those who honored it.
