Background


The city of Sunspire was wonderous creation, colony of Syar Aelves, powered by artificial Sun. The citizens lived easy lives, tended to by solar-powered automatons, while the ruling council of Magisters cemented its power, and used it mainly to tinker with the Sun according to their designs.

But one day, their creation slipped the grasp of its masters and in violent outburst vitrified large portion of the population and turned everything in hundred kilometer radious aroud to desert, haunted by maddened machines, mutated animals and magics gone awry.

Now remnants of the city inhabitants seek to contain power of the Death Sun and heal the land. But for this, they need magic. Lots of magic, much more then impoverished aelves can gain from their ruined home, or by trade. So they ride to war, determined to take means of undoing results of their folly by force.

One such expedition, led by Lord-Regent Belkharia Dawnblade, came to Blighted Wilds. Intrigued by tenacity of Life in face of Ruinous Powers, the young commander seeks to plunder arcane treasuries and deposits of local realmstone, and bring them back home. Unused to dealing with non-Lumineth, and known for her pride and short temper, it is only matter of time before her forces cross blades with others who came to the area.
