Taviel is a Human (Theros) with long, braided red hair and a fluffed-up beard that wraps around his jaw. He is a quiet man, similar to his closest mate on Captain Shrapnel's ship, Oakugg Foreye, but Taviel carries himself with a sense of grace and serenity that Ol' Oakugg lacks. He puts much of his passion into the food he cooks for the crew, but that doesn't always translate to their tastes. At this point though, the crew has learned not to make too much of a fuss about the complex or just downright odd food put in front of them sometimes, lest they end up with no food at all. There have been whispers throughout the ship of Taviel's past life, quickly hushed, but the word "banished" has come into your ears multiple times.
Taviel enjoys serving as the cook within the crew of the Riddle of Lightning, and he owes a lot of thanks to Captain Shrapnel for taking him in.
