Razeesh and her brave companions arrived at the camp at the mounts peak , where they found a collapsed tent and a devil lady kneeling frozen in the snow. Under the collapsed tent lay the remains of a dwarf who had also been too weak to survive the frosts. Garett recognised the devil lady as one of his companions who'd come here to hunt the shapeshifting giant man. With her found there was just 2 of his ill-fated party left who might be saveable. The companions took the opportunity to rest for the night, before heading back down the mountain to search the yeti cave.
When it wasn't dark anymore, it was super clear to Razeesh that there was blood staining the snows outside the yeti cave. Whether it was from the initial attack that Garrett told them about or from after that she couldn't say even with her excellent tracking skills. Kitty determined that she should scout the cave first, and took with her a funny liquid that she claimed would make her invisible. After sometime she came out and told us that a yeti and its child are playing with an alive, but badly wounded, halfling. She'd also found the remains of the other adventurer, apparently he'd fought bravely till the last. Kitty and Rogan came up with a plan to get the halfling out without fighting the yetis. Razeesh was in favour of the plan, while she was eager to test herself against an adult yeti, she didn't want to fight a child even if it was a yeti. They snuck back in, with Rogan heading one way to where the paths lead back to each other but with a small cliff to hide under, and used his shamanistic devilry to try and distract the yetis while Kitty, invisible and quiet, snuck in and grabbed the halfling. While they were rescuing the yeti's plaything, Razeesh suddenly remembered that Yeti's mate for life yet they'd only seen one adult yeti. She waited, with a cautious eye on the mountain snows, till eventually Kitty and Rogan returned with the halfling. Garrett confirmed that this was the last of their party. Not wanting to wait for the husband to come home from the hunt the companions made to leave swiftly, however they were too late as a large shadow fell upon them. The other yeti, with its catch, had returned home and wasn't in the mood for guests!
The companions bravely lept into action, Raima and Razeesh "Ankle Biter" charged the yeti while bolts both magical and wooden flew true. The mighty beast swung at them with powerful claws, and levelled its glare at us with such ferocity it could paralyse us in place. Raima fell victim to one of these stares till she drew upon her true strength and broke through the strange magic. It's savage claw attacks, while brutal, weren't enough to take break down the 2 woman wall of the mighty Razeesh "Ankle Biter" and the brave Raima and the beast fell, leaving the companions weary but victorious. Before they could celebrate their triumph, attracted by the fight the other yeti came out of the cave to find us standing over its dead mate. With a terrifying, desperate roar, the fight resumed. Like her mate both her claws and her gaze were deadly, but once more the companions proved mightier than the infamous yeti. Bleeding, tired, but again victorious.
Travelling from the mountain back to Caer-Konig proved to be a much simpler journey, and the last members of the adventures were returned safely to their people before night fell. The people of the town were shocked and amazed that the companions had managed to save the adventurers and return their lost goods. From now on they didn't have to worry about having a place to sleep when visiting the town, as a sign of their eternal gratitude. Keen to continue her epic quest to save her people, Razeesh approached the grateful Trovus to appeal for help. Remembering that he was once a famed hero of the area, she asked if any of his old contacts were powerful shamans of the kind that her tribe needed desperately. It turned out that while Trovus may have been a famed hero in years past, these days he's become an idiot victim of his drinks. In response she got a series of disconnected rambling about every bizarre sighting and oversized rat that he thought he might have heard about. With no other leads for now she and her companions decided to finish taking Garett back home, and assess the progress of their hunt from there.
