Florentine Raingard

Description

A hybrid dragon of mixed deep dragon and amethyst dragon heritage. Florentine typically wears the form of a Pathari wood elf.

Florentine dresses extravagantly and speaks in a polite and exaggerated manner, though has shown he is quick to fluster. Florentine also displays a sense of chivalry. They met Jirawan when jumping into a fight to assist her, despite being strangers. Since then, Florentine has joined the Hellbenders.

Florentine's magic stems from his gem dragon heritage, hinting at his true form in is purple, crystalline appearance.

Abilities

• Shard Smite: Florentine afflicts a target with shards of their magic.
• Flight Capable: Florentine summons phantasmal wings in his elven form. While these wings are manifested, Florentine is capable of short-range teleportation.
• Shifting. Florentine can shift between an Averan and a draconic body.
  

Within the Campaign

Liutubang met Florentine while they were on a job with the Hellbenders. Florentine displayed a nervous disposition in confronting them, falling back on Jirawan's orders to determine their best course of action. He has been shown to be quick to trust and to like others, enjoying the company of Liutubang while it lasted. Florentine has become friends with the party, offering help and assistance when able.

Following Liutubang's court trial and sect founding, Vic and Florentine have started dating. 

Florentine would reunite with Aruna Patil, at which point they were utilized in her experiments as a source of energy and the medium for a psionic network. Here, Liutubang learned about their true identity as a dragon.

History

Florentine was taken away from their parents in the Underdark while still in the egg. Aruna incubated and hatched them to then raise them as a wyrmling. At an unknown point in time, Aruna vanished from their life, driving Florentine out to Quyan.
