Shattered Glass
Description
Once only figure in a stone mask, Seung has been revealed to be an Unknown of Cheon Do-Yun. A deal with Malegami contracted by Takeda Kichiro and Cheon Yeong-Suk resulted in the creation of Seung, Unknown">Unknown]'s attempts at caring for him and following Yu Atsushi with apparent loyalty.
Seung rides a spirit wyvern named Sanyangkkun, the Hanae word for "Hunter."
Abilities
As a member of Malegami's Court and a spirit, Seung holds certain unique abilities:
- Manifest Echo: Seung can create a fragile duplicate of himself which can attack as he does. He can switch places with this manifestation.
- Clockstopper: Seung can temporarily freeze others in time
- Stolen Potential: Seung excels in many of the abilities that Do-Yun falters in. When Do-Yun struggles, Seung grows stronger.
- Fox Spirit: Like Do-Yun, Seung bears the likeness of a fox spirit. How his abilities have developed is yet unknown.
Within the Campaign
Seung first made himself known while spying on the party. When Do-Yun spoke with him, he attempted to convince him to turn himself over willingly to Malegami, insinuating a risk to his parents if he did not. However, he didn't offer any resistance when Do-Yun refused, and gave the name 'Seung' when asked.
He would later accompany Takeda Kichiro to try to abduct Do-Yun during The Ghost Festival. It was his actions that got Do-Yun into the Spirit Realm, by threatening to land killing blows on his friends if he did not comply. Although he was successful here, Do-Yun was ultimately rescued, at the cost of Tamara's life.
Seung approached a resurrected Tamara in secret. Despite his willingness to be friendly with her, Seung intentionally twisted his words to ensure her assistance. He took her to make one last attempt at capturing Do-Yun. When she regained her memories, and panicking under an onslaught of psychological torment, Seung's composure shattered. He tackled Do-Yun, mask slipping free to reveal a mirror image of his Heart. He backed off with one lingering threat — that they would see just how much Do-Yun really wanted this life.
Seung made good on this threat by sabotaging Do-Yun's work in the temple of Avaksha. He framed his Heart to intentionally ruin his reputation with the clerics present.
Following Do-Yun's death and resurrection, Seung has expressed himself as unable to return home to Malegami's Court. He met with Tamara at her request, angry and desperate as he expressed that Do-Yun had ruined them both. Later, it was revealed that Seung was conspiring with Yu Atsushi, assisting them in their plans for the advantage of being able to target Do-Yun without his allies. Despite this, he was still unable to capture Do-Yun. He has evidently remained close with Atsushi since, appearing in the guise of a bodyguard for them during Bellsfeit.
History
Seung was crafted by Malegami. The precise timeline of his existence is unclear. Prior to his appearance within the campaign, Seung existed in Malegami's court. He had some familiarity with Suryasta and a difficult relationship with Takeda Kichiro. According to Malegami, Seung named himself independently. This was an abnormal occurrence, though Malegami was willing to tolerate it.
Seung grew to despite Do-Yun, seeing him as the barrier to his personhood and his acceptance in the Court. Seung prepared with dedication to try to capture Do-Yun, assisting Kichiro as the deadline approached.
