Background
Born on Aleen Minor, Darami was considered incredibly curious and energetic even by the standards of her people from a very young age. Being sociable and friendly meant that on family trips, she was quick to approach aliens, creatures and officials of any and all kinds to inspect them or ask them questions (even when they weren't physically capable of answering) and would inevitably take the information she learned to then regurgitate it to her family, friends and anyone else she met on further adventures.Thanks to the Galactic Empire's grip on the galaxy, travel for her people was restricted. With her siblings being old enough to go on their own trips, Darami travelled with her parents to a Mid Rim planet to sight see, thinking they had valid permits. For reasons she still doesn't know, they were stopped anyway and her father, pushing back against arrest, was shot. Told to run by her mother, she could only cover her ears to try and drown out blaster fire as she ran through the settlement, finding a nook in the public library to hide in.
Hiding in the library after hours, she tried to just read databooks and not think about what had happened, or what she was going to do. She was later discovered, hidden by, and later adopted by the librarian herself, raising Darami like her own daughter. Though she couldn't travel like she used to, the young Aleena’s love of knowledge, penchant for researching it and talent for writing it in digestible ways meant that the library expanded quickly, and over the years, Darami considered just taking over her adoptive mother's job. However, in her late teens, her siblings tracked her down and made contact with her again, including her brother, who had joined the Rebel Alliance and inspired her to do the same, not wanting to let others be hurt like she had been.#
Fighting for the Alliance was hard, but Darami did love getting to see new places and meet new people, especially since she was used as a scout thanks to her size and eye for details. She was just as sociable and very popular amongst her fellow soldiers, and it was during this time that she met Luke Skywalker, who she regarded as a friend, which was the same for just about anyone she met. She luckily avoided injury and ended the war with an excellent record, and thanks to her skills, she found a job as an archivist for the New Republic, researching all kinds of information that had been lost or wiped due to the Empire, including information concerning the Jedi Order.
Years later, it was this expertise that put her in contact with Luke again. During this time, he noticed her strength in the force, and gave her the opportunity to learn things very few sentients ever get to, and even share it with others!
Appearence
44, Female, Aleena. Darami often wears bright colours and fancy little accessories, with her fashion sense eclectic even when wearing Jedi robes with the latest bauble she enjoys attached to them. Her eyes are notably big even for an Aleena, especially with how often she either stares or darts her gaze around everywhere, nothing in-between.
Personality
Darami is hyperactive and excitable, with a deep thirst for knowledge that drives so much of what she does. She is constantly striving to not only learn, but teach, and craves any opportunity to share the vast amount of information she's learned. Thanks to this, she is often seen darting around the archives, carrying datapads of new information to be catalogued as she looks for new arrivals to welcome and speak to.
