Glacius is a legendary creature of myth and folklore within The Vale of Everwinter. It is said to currently rest within the Unknown which separates the wintery landscape from the southern The Isle of Ember. Glacius is as old as time itself, having been created along with the other Elementaris during the twilight of creation.
Despite their immense power and significance, little is known about the Elementaris or their creation. They are creatures of myth, said to grow to the size of mountains and glaciers, and are widely regarded as some of the most powerful beings to have ever existed.
Glacius, in particular, is sought out for its immense power. Harkon Chillbringer, a notorious figure in The Ice Realm, attempted to awaken the primordial creature in order to bring about Everwinter, a season of perpetual ice and snow.
However, the attempt to awaken Glacius was ultimately unsuccessful, and the creature remains dormant within the Unknown to this day. Despite this, many still believe that Glacius possesses immense power and could one day be awakened to bring about catastrophic consequences for the world of Osira and Tolria.
