In the final moments of the culminating Wrath of the World Eater, Edward "Small Beard" O'Bannon was eviscerated by an ancient curse spoken in a long-forgotten tounges by the World Eater Serpent. Gone, but not forgotten, Edward's legacy lives on through the countless Valar he saved by destroying the cursed crown of King Athelstan Valarion once and for all. Lost to the tides as an unsung hero, his story is known only beneath the waves of The Sea Realm by those who were closest to him in undeath...
Born into a legacy of bravery and seafaring, Edward "Small Beard" O'Bannon was the son of the legendary Valar captain, Magnus "Stormbringer" O'Bannon. Edward, however, was not the heroic figure his father was, a fact that was thrust into stark light when his naivety led to a catastrophic event.
As a sailor in training, Edward yearned to uphold his family's honor and make his father proud. However, his inexperience led to disaster when he unwittingly led his father and crew into a deadly Draugr ambush. The ensuing battle decimated the crew and took the life of Captain Magnus, leaving Edward as the sole survivor.
Edward was met with scorn and outrage upon his return to the Immortal Isle. His negligence, abandonment of his father, and survival when all others perished led to his banishment from the Valar society. The once-promising heir to the Stormbringer legacy was forced to walk the plank, a symbolic punishment that ended with his drowning in the sea he once called home after being forced to walk the plank by none other than King Cyrus Valarion.
However, death was not the end for Edward O'Bannon. Awash with regret, grief, and an overwhelming desire for redemption, Edward rose from his watery grave as a Revenant Draugr. His transformation into the very beings he despised left him grappling with a deep sense of self-loathing and profound existential dread.
But beneath this turmoil, a spark of determination took root. Now an undead entity, Edward seeks to right the wrongs of his past and salvage his disgraced name. His path is fraught with emotional and physical challenges, not least of which is the battle against the Draugr nature that now courses through his veins. But Edward "Small Beard" O'Bannon remains undeterred. In his struggle for redemption, he finds a purpose that eluded him in life and sustains him in death.
