Kinetus

Eldari of Motion

Appearance

Kinetus, the Eldari of Force and Motion, was entirely immaterial, existing only as the feeling of movement and gravity itself. He did not possess a tangible-adjacent form like some of his fellow Eldari, but his presence was unmistakable, felt in the pull of gravity and the movement of celestial bodies. It is believed that the clustering of galaxies reflects his form, a manifestation of the forces that hold the cosmos together. Kinetus’ essence was gravity—the invisible hand guiding the stars and planets in their eternal dance across the universe.

Origin

Kinetus was born from the dream of Azhorra'tha, the Watcher in the Abyss, as one of the primordial Eldari created to embody the elemental forces that shaped the universe. While others represented more tangible elements like energy and matter, Kinetus was the essence of motion, the force that gave the stars their paths, the planets their orbits, and the galaxies their clustering. He existed to keep the universe in constant motion, ensuring that all things would move in harmony with one another.

During Primordial Pandemonium, Kinetus clashed with his fellow Eldari, his forces of motion creating violent collisions of celestial bodies and cataclysmic shifts in nebulae as gravity and inertia collided with other elemental forces. His influence was paramount to the structure of the cosmos, as without the exertion of gravity, there could be no life, no creation, and no time.

Existence

After the Solis Singularity, where the chaotic forces of the Eldari were brought into order, Kinetus was transmuted into the very force of gravity itself. His essence now exists as the invisible binding force that holds the planes of existence together and maintains the fragile balance of the cosmos. The clustering of galaxies, the rotation of planets, and the movement of nebulae—all are reflections of Kinetus' enduring influence.

Though he no longer exists as a sentient being, his essence is omnipresent in the universe, sustaining the forces that keep the cosmos from unraveling. His essence was further merged with Zephyr, the Eldari of Space, to create the space and gravity that surrounds the Continuum Crystal Cosmology. Together, they form the fabric of space and motion that sustains the universe.

Kinetus’ essence was also transmuted into two elemental planes:

The Plane of Aquos, representing fluid motion as an endless sea with immeasurable gravity.

The Plane of Zephyron, symbolizing free motion as an infinite sky with limited gravity, moved only by the gales of wind from Zephyr.

Additionally, this union would result in the creation of Aether (God of Air) and Hydrus (God of Water) in addition to their respective planes of existence.

Powers and Abilities

As the embodiment of Force and Motion, Kinetus controlled the very gravity that holds the universe together. His influence dictated the orbits of planets, the clustering of galaxies, and the movement of stars. Without his presence, the universe would collapse into stillness, devoid of the energy needed to sustain creation.

Kinetus was the driving force behind every action in the cosmos. He gave the stars their movement, fueled the force of inertia, and ensured that all things moved in harmony. His power was felt in every galaxy and every nebula, as his gravitational influence shaped the celestial bodies.

Connections

  • Prism: Kinetus was deeply connected to Prism, the Eldari of Symmetry and Order. While Kinetus provided the motion and force that guided the universe, Prism maintained the order of these forces, ensuring that the cosmos did not descend into chaos.
  • Ignis: The Eldari of Energy and Heat was also closely tied to Kinetus, as the stars' gravitational pull, fueled by Ignis' energy, powered the movement of celestial bodies.
  • Zephyr: Kinetus and Zephyr were intimately connected, as gravity and space are inseparable forces. Together, they shaped the fabric of the cosmos, creating the vast expanses of space and the gravitational forces that moved within it.
  • The Continuum Crystal Cosmology: Kinetus' force was essential to the creation of the Continuum Crystal Cosmology. His essence binds the realms together, keeping the balance of gravity and motion intact across the various planes of existence.

Legacy and Legends

Kinetus' influence is felt in every aspect of the universe. Though he no longer exists as a conscious being, his essence continues to sustain the forces that keep the cosmos in motion. The legends of Kinetus speak of his role in shaping the movement of the stars and planets, and his enduring presence in the gravitational forces that bind the realms together.

During the Second Age: Twilight of Creation, Kinetus' remnants gave rise to Force Apparitions, titanic beings of immense gravity and motion who clashed with the Pantheon of Primus and the Dragon Realms. These beings, though destructive, were a reflection of Kinetus' enduring power over the universe's motion.

Destruction

Like the other Eldari, Kinetus was not truly destroyed in the Solis Singularity. Instead, he was transmuted into the force of gravity itself, becoming the invisible hand that holds the cosmos together. His essence was merged with Zephyr to create the fabric of space and gravity that surrounds the Continuum Crystal Cosmology. These two Eldari were succeeded by Aether and Hydrus in this union. Though his sentient form no longer exists, Kinetus lives on in the movement of the stars, the orbits of planets, and the endless dance of celestial bodies. His legacy as the Eldari of Force and Motion endures in the gravitational forces that shape the universe.
