The Golden Palace is the home of King Wolfswinkel as well as national government offices. The Palace is dotted with imposing stone buildings housing various government offices, including the court. The court decides cases of significance as well as capitol cases, often sending perpetrators to the The Stone Court for punishment.These structures, with their tall, narrow windows and fortified walls, evoke the city's rich medieval heritage. Gargoyles and crests adorn the facades, symbolizing the city's enduring legacy and strength. Inside, these offices are bustling with activity, where scribes, officials, and council members conduct the business of running Seregon.
The Assembly
The popular assembly is open to participation and operates by direct democracy. The Assembly is made up of a collection of people representing "the best" of each district, industry, and art. The primary role of The Assembly has been the betterment of trade, commerce, and life in Seregon. The Assembly acts as a legislative branch of government, while the king handles the executive branch and is responsible for the court system. There are often conflicts played out in public between the two branches.
The Grand Park
At the center of the Upper District lies a sprawling park, a green oasis amidst the stone and mortar. This park serves as a place of respite for the district’s inhabitants and visitors.
Central Market
Centrally located in the city, The Central Market is where people buy day-to-day goods, including food, basic clothing, and household goods. Citizens from every ward are likely to make the trek once a week for their goods. It's also located next to the harbor so incoming goods don't have far to go. It is well patrolled, calm, and a far cry from the the chaos and danger of the Grand Bazaar.
Walraven Counting House
The Walraven Counting House is a prestigious and heavily guarded banking and storage facility located in the Upper District of Seregon. Positioned strategically in a triangular area between The Citadel, the embassies, and The Palace, it has a long history, dating back to a time before the Walraven family expanded into a full-fledged consortium.
The Citadel
Dominating the district is the grand citadel, a formidable fortress that serves as the headquarters for the Iron Guard. The citadel's high battlements and sturdy towers provide a strategic vantage point over the city and surrounding areas. Within its walls, soldiers train in expansive courtyards, and the city’s military leaders plan their strategies. The castle also houses an armory, barracks, and a command center, ensuring Seregon’s readiness to defend against any threat.
