Seregon is a diverse city of many species, although humans are the predominant species. The myconids are almost never seen during the day, yet they make up an estimated 11% of the population, mostly living under the city. 

Seregon is a city of long time locals, but also refugees from around the world. As the cost for air travel is prohibitive, it tends to be the longer living species who have the means. Elves are especially likely to re-settle in Seregon, and the elven Sultanate of Sahar is close by airship. Including drow, elves are 20% of the city population.

Seregon, always counting, implemented a census ten years ago, and just completed it's second one. The goal was to better implement city services, after the Old Knot District estimates were very far off. Even now, residents of Old Knot would prefer not to be counted, for fear it could be used against them.
