Keep of the Immortals

The Keep of the Immortals, located in the Westerpark District, serves as a significant enclave for dragonborn within Seregon. Positioned next to the government building, it ensures that new dragonborn register upon entering the city, adhering to the strict monthly quota. The Immortals of Karsis, a group that has known no life beyond their comradeship in living and fighting together, find solace in the enclave, preferring to remain with their kind rather than drift into the city.

This enclave operates as a training camp, with facilities such as barracks divided by dragonflights, a dining hall, infirmary, and training grounds. The Immortals uphold the tenets of self-sufficiency, continual self-improvement, and the maintenance of honor, principles that guide their daily lives and interactions.

However, the large presence of dragonborn mercenaries has sparked tension within the ward, particularly among the leadership on Temple Way. These leaders have raised complaints with The Assembly, though the Assembly finds it beneficial to keep the temples in a state of discomfort, especially since some priests have shown a tendency to overreach their power.

Reasons to Visit

  1. Soldier

    • Connection: A character who served with or trained alongside the Immortals of Karsis may have a deep bond with this group. They could be a former recruit, a veteran who now mentors younger warriors, or even a non-dragonborn who earned their respect through shared battles.
    • Potential Role: They might visit to seek guidance, reunite with comrades, or fulfill an oath of honor to the Immortals.
  2. Outlander

    • Connection: A dragonborn traveler seeking kinship and purpose might have grown up in the wilds and found their place among the Immortals of Karsis. Alternatively, a non-dragonborn raised by dragonborn might have ties to the Keep as their cultural homeland within Seregon.
    • Potential Role: The character could return to reconnect with their heritage, rekindle relationships, or participate in training or rituals central to dragonborn culture.
