Temple Way

In the bustling Temple Way, vibrant colors and fragrances create a sensory tapestry where the scent of incense mingles with the savory aromas of diverse foods being cooked at stalls. You hear the melodic chants and spirited calls of enthusiastic touts promoting their respective religions, each with a unique tone—the Asura goddess of dawn inspires with hopeful hymns, while Kishar the trickster's voice has a mischievous lilt.

Swirling clouds of colored powders are tossed joyously in the air, representing the playful spirit of Herum, alongside ritualistic displays and offerings for Ishtar, the goddess of love, with flowers and heartfelt messages. The echo of Mitra’s peaceful invitations can be felt, underlined by the ominous, yet captivating presence of Nergal,, Tarhun, and Tiamat, who add an air of mystery and allure, drawing curious souls towards their mystical paths.

The Assembly of Seregon deemed all religion, even those seen as vile, should have a place in Temple Way. Every sentient impulse and emotion should be allowed to be expressed safely, channeled and dissipated in the many temples here. To deny a god, to attempt to erase them from memory, is to encourage pathology. The dark impulses always find a way. This was until The Tiamat Incident.

The Tiamat Incident stands as a bloody reminder that tolerance has its limits. It led to the cessation of construction on The Temple of Set, which it was argued could lead to the destruction of civilization itself. It was decided the temple would remain in the Old Knot District, rather than move here. A compromise, perhaps to avoid future bloodshed.
