Translating from Scycaen to Common as the "Imperial Home of Divine Faith", Scil-Tellis had massive sheer cliffs on both sides of the city. An important religious settlement in ScycaeScil-Tellis was settled on a unique mountain peninsula in the northwestern Toror-Mir, and its high placement and desert climate resulted in extremely cold nighttime temperatures with high winds. To combat this, residents hollowed out natural rock formations in the topography, and an extended series of tunnels linked these smaller populated peaks together.

The peninsula had a layer of low-quality soil which allowing for limited plant growth and farmlands across the city, a rarity in the dry Scycaen north. The city's cliffs helped prevent winds from the Jozh-Mirozhae from crossing into the arable regions of the Imperium. As a result of this strange geography, many religious Scycaens saw the Scil-Tellis peninsula as a blessed placed, particularly from Umera and Thestus, religions which had extremely strong factions in the city.
