Translating from Scycaen as "the Mountain Range of Cinder" and in Common as the "Cinderwall" or the "Cinder Mountains", this mountain range divided Scycae's grasslands from its desertlands. The range had nearly-religious reverence by many Scycaens as it protected southern Scycae and Sycae-Scyceti from the winds and rocks of the Cindersand Desert.
The range continued eastward into the Sea of Clouds, but it was unknown how far the Cinderwall stretched into the Sea before it reached the Crowncrest Mountains. Some scholars believed it to be a branch of Greatwyrm's Brow, and therefore a subrange of the Crowncrests, but this mattered little to most.
