The most expansive mountain range in the known world, the Crowncrests were a subrange of Greatwyrm's Brow that separated the Common League from the Scycaen Imperium. The mountains were so named due to their location at the "crown" of the draconic "face" of the Somnum, seperated narrowly from the Snoutridge Mountains by the Sylphglade and the Wyrmhorn Reach.
Despite its breadth, it was unknown how far the mountain range extended, as it transitioned deeper into the Sea of Clouds than Mortalkind explorers could chart.
The highest rises in the Crowncrests dwarfed any other known to smallfolk, and its largest mountaintop was estimated to nearly double the height of a peak in any other range. At this pinnacle was Skypeak, the oldest unconquered Dwarven kingdom.
