Known in Scycaen as Phalor-Phaeun and in Common as the Sylphglade, this forest encompassed the Ironhold Scil-Torrenae. With winds coming down from both the Snoutridge and Crowncrest Mountains, the trees of the Sylphglade always rustled, whether it be in a whispering wind or a mighty storm. The influence of the Vivid Realms was extremely strong in the glade, as was the Realm of Air; some scholars believed that the Leylines of these planes were close to the Prime Material.

Named after the mythical Sylphs that were rumored to hide among the trees, the forest also contained a large Fairy Circle in its center, absent of trees on all sides. It was seen as an eerie place, as even at nighttime, it never truly went quiet, or even dark. Lit preternaturally by arcane flame and flares of magical energy, the Sylphglade was the home of a variety of Fey. Though most were not malicious, many of these creatures loved to play pranks, and make life extremely difficult for any Mortalkind patrolling the woods.

The Sylphglade existed on a number of borders, connecting both the Snoutridge Mountains and the Crowncrest Mountains-Scycae border, and though it was not technically defended by an Imperial army, Common houses tended to avoid incursion the forest after the failed Battle Of SylphgladeRumors of trickster magic and the threat of a retributive strike from Scyseti was enough to curb curiosity.
