The Great Giant's Gulf was an inlet of the Great Pale Sea, located in the southwestern Body of the Greatwyrm and known for its treachery. While most gulfs of similar size provided respite for sailors coming from the open ocean, the Giant's Gulf contained swirling vortexes of wind and massive whirlpools that could sink even the mightiest vessels.
Despite this fearsome reputation, the Giant's Gulf itself claimed few victims; most travelers heading toward it were lost in the Wightmist Archipelago before they could even reach the stormy gulf.
