Mouse

Small rodents found all over the Material Realm, mice were distantly related to Rats. They were known to have pointed snout with a strong sense of smell, small rounded ears, a body-length scaly tail, and a high breeding rate. In appearance, mice were characterized by their small size, fur-covered bodies, and twitching whiskers that sensed the world around them. Their fur ranged in color from soft gray and brown to lighter shades of white or cream, providing camouflage against predators or blending into the natural surroundings.

Mice lived in colonies or nests hidden in crevices, burrows, or secluded corners where they could find food and safety from larger predators. Always living among others, they communicated through high-pitched squeaks and chirps, signaling danger, food sources, or social interactions within their community. They typically scavenged for food and often invaded homes for food and shelter, which generally labeled them as pests to most sentient creatures.

Mice were often employed as Familiars by Spellcasters, who used them as stealthy information-gatherers.
