The Vistani were a diverse group of nomads that traveled the Prime Material as well as the echoes of that plane, the Vivid and Umbral Realms. Typically sporting bright clothing and noted by their love of music and fire, Vistani had a cheery and welcoming culture, but were fiercely protective of their own. They guarded their planar knowledge and secrets closely, but quickly passed important information to their kin across the planes. They spoke in a dialect they called the Patterna, which could be semi-understood by most Common speakers.
Relying on their reputation as non-meddlesome travelers, Vistani were known to make deals with the higher beings of some planes, allowing them to use their Portals or Leylines in exchange for favors. They were notably one of the only groups who knew how to navigate the Gloomshrouds, though this secret was kept close even amongst Vistani elders.
