Patterna

Amongst themselves, Vistani people spoke a language called the Patterna, a mix of Common, Scycaen, and unique slang.

Amongst the patterna were names that signified status amongst the Vistani. Singular Vistani were called "vistana", and generally followed nomadic caravans lead by male "captains" and female "raunie". Non-Vistani were called "giorgio" and generally held at a distance, but could become honorary Vistani or "giogito" via profound acts. Those who willingly left the tribes were called "remanio", and those who returned were "vani". Any Vistana cast aside by their tribe were known as "mortu", and those who were considered truly heinous were marked for death as "mortio". Knowledge of a mortu's dishonor was intentionally carried through the planes to reach all Vistani.
