Iaseka Belview was the heir to the Belview house in Krezk, the last of the "noble" houses in the village besides the Krezkovs themselves. As a child, she was obsessed with Ravens; the creatures were a common sight in the village as well as in the Abbey of Saint Markovia, and they represented good luck to the people. However, her family was not blessed with such luck. As she grew older, more and more Belviews passed away from illness. Growing physically sick and older herself, Iaseka began to develop a madness, desiring to physicall transform from her Human body into that of a raven.
She turned to the new master of the abbey, who called himself The Abbot. The strange priest felt sorry for her plight, and she pressed him, having heard rumors of his powerful magic. Iaseka demanded that The Abbot get rid of her families "Imperfections"; not only did she demand to alter her physiology to give her the gifts of ravens, she wanted her offspring to have the abilities of Wereravens and other Lycanthropes. The Abbot eventually capitulated in sympathy, and began experimenting on her, as well as her offspring.
Using powers that he learned from the Amber Temple, The Abbot eventually turned Iaseka into the first successful Mongrelfolk. Her madness worsened, and her body was constantly in pain, but she was satisfied with her new form. She now had a hooked beak covered in human flesh, black crow's eyes, the disembodied jaw taken by a nearby skull, eagles talons for feat, and bat-like hands that stretched from long raven's wings that protruded from her back. Iaseka felt free for the last few years of her short life, and when she passed away, she was fed to her children.
