Werejackals were shapeshifters Cursed with Lycanthropy, able to transform into a bipedal Jackal form. Considered to be mischievous and duplicitous, werejackals were despised by other forms of Lycanthropes. They were pack creatures that preferred the company of jackals and other werejackals as opposed to other beings. They often displayed outward helplessness as a ruse intended to lower their victims' guard before attacking.
When disguised as normal Mortalkind, Werejackal's generally had a somewhat haggard appearance, but were otherwise indistinguishable from the smallfolk they were impersonating. While in their Beast forms, they were bolder and more aggressive than regular jackals. They tended to spread their lycanthropy as much as possible, turning victims into other members of their pack.
