Air Elementals manifested as swirling, semi-transparent masses of air and vapor, often taking on a Humanoid or Serpentine shape of unceasing wind. These beings were embodiments of air itself, possessing fluid forms, mastery over wind, and resistances to lightning and thunder. Their transient bodies shimmered with the colors of the sky, and their intangibility meant nonmagical attacks were not effective against them.
Air elementals were typically found around Leylines, or places where the boundaries between the Prime Material and the Plane of Air were thin. They were drawn to high altitudes, open skies, and places of great wind or storm activity. Unlike their more solid counterparts, air elementals could move effortlessly through the air, their forms shifting and reforming at will.
