Air Elemental

Air elementals were beings of living air formed from the Elemental Realm of Air. When brought to the Prime Material, they appeared as amorphous, ever-shifting clouds that drifted and darted in any direction, even against the prevailing wind. Their forms never held a fixed outline, thinning and swelling in constant motion. On the rare occasions they attempted speech, their voices manifested in Auran as the shriek of a tornado or the low, rolling moan of a distant storm.

These Elementals could compress and shape their bodies into whirling columns of air. The size of these whirlwinds varied widely depending on the creature’s strength. Lesser manifestations stood between eight and sixteen feet tall, while greater examples rose from forty to eighty feet in height, with diameters to match. All shared control over wind and pressure, though those native to the Elemental Air and beyond mortal summoning were said to command even greater forces.

In battle, air elementals relied on force and motion. They battered foes with concentrated gusts or engulfed them in their whirlwind forms, lifting and hurling creatures with relentless currents. Their bodies offered little for weapons to grasp, dispersing and reforming around incoming blows, unless struck with magical arms such as Enhanced Weapons. They required no food beyond air itself, subsisting on the endless currents of their native plane.
