A technically-illegal gladiatorial arena in a severe state of disrepair, the Ruckus Ring was Khazalet's premier destination for seedy betting and blood sport. Only operating through bribes, it was a hotbed of criminal activity, accepting any willing to trade their blood for gold and glory. Below the pit was a small dormitory for the regular combatants, as well as cell-like cages where unproven fighters were kept. A small staff of smiths and healers were employed full-time to keep the Ruckus Ring operational, though they were generally paid little more than room and board.
Crude iron bars encased the circular pit where fighters were thrown in to face off against beasts and each other. Spectators would look on in stone terraces above, though generally the Ring was never close to selling out its large arena. Loose bonfires were placed in the pit to be used as the combatants saw fit, and dirty fighting was encouraged; as the stones and chains had become loose over decades, "creative" combat was often seen as preferable to honorable duels.
Several notable gladiators made a name for themselves in the pits, such as Xuk Smashmouth and "The Swine" Marcus Cromwell, and there was a loose system of incentives that allowed champions and crowd favorites to fight incredibly dangerous, non-humanoid creatures such as Giant Spiders or Minotaurs. These fights would typically draw greater crowds, and offer greater rewards to the combatant.
