A ramshackle structure of wood and stone that spanned the River Ashwater at the edge of the Ashen Ring, Fortune's Bridge was located at the river's narrowest point before the waters dramatically widened. Built as a symbolic connector of the Emberpeak Mountains and the Wealdshield Mountains, the bridge was composed of four crossings that connected natural rock protrusions, and in total spanned two hundred feet.
Few travelers actually crossed the bridge; instead, the rock supports were primarily used as docking points for barges that traveled up and down the Ashwater without paying taxes in Ashenport. Daring prospectors, miners, and slavers from across the Common League forded the river to attempt to the mountain's riches, and to do so, nearly all went by boat.
After the collapse of the North Mines, Fortune's Bridge became significantly less frequented.
