Sirens were a predatory Fey that often appeared on the sea, in the thralls of song or dance. Resembling Human females with aquatic variations in skin and hair colour, they appeared uncommonly beautiful to Mortalkind from a distant. They often posed as Merfolk, but a closer inspection revealed their razor-sharp fangs and claws.
Sirens preferred not to engage in direct combat if confronted; though some carried bows, sling, or javelins as weapons, they tended to escape back to their home if threatened. Like many fey, they could charm other creature and change their form, abilities they often used to protect themselves. They had innate Spellcasting abilities, and a single touch from a siren had a chance of instantly reducing the target's intelligence.
Though playful amongst their own kind, sirens were predators, and hunted by singing magical luring songs that could charm other creatures. Such a song caused the target to move toward the sirene, even if the targeted creature was not aquatic, and they would follow them back to the sirens lair to be fed on.
