The River Wisting rose in the western slopes of the Snoutridge Mountains and flowed steadily westward until it emptied into the Longsnout CoastIts waters were broad but not gentle, fed by mountain melt and forest runoff. Forming a natural boundary along much of the Woods of Elenmyr, the river had Wistimere its southwestern banks and Oldoan to the southeast, joined by a single bridge that carried trade and travelers across its breadth.

The river served as the primary artery for timber cut in Elenmyr, bearing rafts and barges downstream toward coastal markets.
