The Woods of Elenmyr, known in Elven as Taurë Elenomanyar or the "Forest of the Star-Dwellers", was a large forest in Commona's western expanse. Dense and old, it stretched west to the Longsnout Coast and was bordered by the Snoutridge Mountains and the River Wisting. The Wisting bordered much of its southern and western edge, separating the deeper woods from Wistimere in the southwest and Oldoanto the southeast, which stood beyond a single bridge crossing. Near the forest’s center once stood Umli, carved from a clearing amid timber that had never fully yielded to settlement, but the village fell in the Raids Of Umli.

The Woods of Elenmyr were marked by rare trees with unusual properties, long sought for logging and trade, but it was never an empty wilderness. Elf tribes had guarded its interior long before Human axes bit into its trunks, and their knowledge of its paths and cover far exceeded that of outsiders. Travel within it was slow and uncertain without guidance besides the seldom-traveled roads, and groups of Firbolgs and Gnomes also permeated the forest, defending it from outside influence in their own ways.
