Earnest Lyschtager Born to the very affluent Lyschtager bloodline, Earnest grew up with a silver spoon and distant parents. He and his older brother Everard Jr. were raised by a team of nannies and caretakers. His Father, Everard Sr. was a very influential man, he was a executive member of Fayan Trade Company His Father and the estate's staff never spoke of his mother. Earnest never knew his mother, and didn’t even know if he shared the same mother as his brother. Raised locked in the massive halls of his family's grand estate, Earnest very rarely got to see the outside world. He dreamed of what adventures existed outside the walls of this enormous compound. He would often walk alone in the halls admiring the gargantuan statues of knights and stunning paintings of heroes and terrifying beasts, unable to tell what depicted real life events and what was simply a fairytale. The Lyschtager kids were taught by the best tutors gold could buy. They were taught a variety of topics, but the tutors focus was clearly on Everard Jr.. Their father had decided very early on (one may even think when he was born) that Everard was to continue to run the company once his time had come to pass, and Earnest, were to simply live in his brother's shadow. After graduating from his private tutelage, Earnest was given access to his own private account full of gold. The dream of being a great adventurer had never left him, and Earnest immediately requested his caretaker assemble an incredibly strong team of adventurers to bring him on quests just like that in the paintings that lined the halls. After quite some time, and great expense. The Earnest’s Own was assembled. Earnest’s Own was made up of 4 highly skilled veterans of dungeon delving, each with their own set of skills. They were each paid a salary of 50,000 Gp / year Members of “Earnest’s Own: Argbar - Orc Barbarian Galdis - Dragonborn Druid Allric - Human Bard Sylvain - Half Elf Wizard Together Earnest’s Own went on multiple inane quests, but Earnest had his eye on finding a forgotten relic. After gathering information they went to a secret temple hidden deep in the woods, after an encounter with a terrifying monster started to go sideways, Earnest fell into a pit trap, leaving his crew to be torn apart by the beast. Hiding away in this pit, he eventually found a hidden door. Behind the door, he found a room made of pure white stone bathed in sunlight, unusual for a chamber so deep underground. Sitting in the center of the room there was a sword, sheathed into an ornate altar.. It was the blade of holy vengeance. After arming himself with the weapon, he heard the voice of a god. A soothing voice heard inside his own head. Who it was was unclear, but the source was immediately obvious, it was from the sword. The voice congratulated him with finding their blade, and asked him to be their champion. “Will you bring the light to the darkest reaches of this world? Will cut down those who act to snuff it out? Will you praise those who stoke its flame? You will be my champion, my prophet, the one who shall save the world” Agreeing to the sword's terms, and emboldened by its gifts, our new prophets embarked on new solo quests guided by his weapon. Tenets of The Light: Let none stand before the Light, lest their shadow fall upon the world and stay its radiance from reaching all who would behold it. The Light shall be held above all things and made to shine unveiled, its glory dimmed by no one. Darkness cloaks the hearts of those the Light has never touched, and their intentions cannot be known. Place no trust in those who dwell in shadow Those who delight in darkness shall ever seek to snuff out the Light. When they come with such designs, let its flames be stoked anew with their blood. Brighter still the Light shall burn for those who follow its radiance, he who places their trust in its messages shall receive its gifts None may grasp the true nature of the Light, for it is older than knowing. Those who would attempt to peer toward its source shall find only blindness, undone by a radiance no mortal eye was made to behold.

Earnest grew up very isolated, his father was barely present and his and Everard Jr.'s mother essentially non-existent. She is never mentioned or alluded to in any way by Everard Sr. Or any of the staff at the Lischtager estate. Earnest only left the grounds estate a handful of times in his whole childhood. Hewas pampered by a team of nannies and butlers. He was incredibly lonely and took solice in the legends and myths depicted in the very expensive artwork in on walls of the halls he grew up in
