A woman local to Ul’Dah, Kaia heads the Verdant Wind’s branch facility in The Green Breeze Café, where the common products are soothing drinks and an assortment of books. Third generation Ul’Dahn, her grandparents emigrated from Shishu in Hingashi to find more profitable work in Eorzea, where they and her parents run a small bookshop of their own near Hustings Strip. Sharp-eyed and almost as equally sharp-tongued, the Raen enjoys using her connections as a socialite in the Jewel of the Desert to facilitate trade and further connections for the mercantile company.

While most of her time is spent as a merchant, her upbringing involved learning healing magics from different schools of practice - a fact that she doesn’t oft advertise. Proficient in her aether control, she has quietly performed astounding feats of restoration, but refuses to join adventuring parties as a form of income as it would mean she might have to one day be called to fight a battle of which she wants no part.

She has recently married Velen Norhice, and spends her free time catching up on books she’s not able to read during the work week.
