It’s been about two weeks since all of us here in Aesil came down with an affliction, similar to Ha'zas Syndrome, and about a week since the first few of us survivors woke up, having to bury the dead in the entire town, as well as having to treat those that were still alive and struggling… Contact to Illiad is gone dark, our gods are silent, none of our usual divine guidances are working… and we keep hearing messages of chaos and unrest from the capital of the Liwilai Empire… Not only that, but in our darkest hour yesterday, a bunch of dragons decided to attack us to loot us, coming in like vultures, killing survivors, and taking what they could carry… Vrudak survived the disease, but when the dragons came… I… I barricaded myself down here in the emergency bunker with… honestly more survivors than this bunker ever was meant to hold, together with those the few that we were still treating, in order to protect both ourselves and our remaining artifacts… By now, the noises have stopped… I suppose we are safe now… But Arilki was, together with the Bronze Tiara, by the factory when the attack happened… and if we go by the boom, its own reactor exploded during the attack… I just hope he’s fine… But whether he’s fine or not, with the rest of those we’ve been treating either recovered or dead, and many other survivors down here preparing to head out, I have to make a decision.
As Farrina’s last speaker, I need to get the Forest Garnet out of here… A radio transmission that I was able to pick up was talking about a caravan of refugees, further to the east, making their way further north-east, and a few of us here are eager to leave that way… As for me…the Forest Garnet was a creation of not only Farrina, but also Titania, the Summer Queen of the Fey… The Northlands are famously in tune with The Feywild… I… would love to make my way to Khrusia or Argentis, to find a somewhat safe refuge, but… I should make my way to the Northlands, so I can try to find a way into the Feywild and find a safe place for the Forest Garnet… I heard that this area is brimming with Fey Gates, so maybe it'll be a good idea to seek out Titania… As Farrina’s last speaker, it’s my duty to keep the Garnet safe, and to bring it to someone who has equal claim to ownership of it as her, no…?
I have to admit… it’s quite an interesting object… Farrina working together with a Fey Queen… And the Forest Garnet apparently combines magic and ena to revive dead foliage to create a new creature… It's unique. Our gods have been quite busy making connections with the divine and extraplanar beings of this realm, leading to objects such as it… I just wonder how things will look now, as apparently our connection to Illiad is severed… And seemingly, the connection to our gods as well… I’ll… I’ll have to think about this later.
