We return to the game right after Philomena Snapdragon decapitated the Yuan-Ti mage Shoklee. After everyone regained their bearings after dealing with his poisons, and after a short rest, the party looked around for the Court Sword of Beauty. After finding several gemstones on the Yuan-Ti's body, the party was able to find the Sword, alongside several magical items, in the mages' desk drawer.
While Cerviel and Cipactli Hatched-At-Dawn continued looking for other things to take with upstairs, the party then went to the previous floor, to finally deal with that demonic summoning portal. As Volk Lesnoy unblocked the door and opened it, Kaliah "Mama K" Stratum felt a sharp pain in her center... and the sigils on the summoning circle flickered, changing it completely... That's when the semitransparent image of a large Shoosuva, a demonic hyena, appeared inside the circle. Noticing Kaliah, it smirked deviously and started a conversation with her in Gnoll, which no other party member understood. However, Kaliah then nodded and told the other party members what was up.
Kaliah had met this Shoosuva before; and it had talked to its master, the demon lord Yeenoghu, into agreeing to return her soul to her... on the condition that she helps fight the forces of Baphomet, which recently had once more invaded the Death Dells of Yeenoghu.
Feeling like this may be her best choice to regain ownership over her own soul, Kaliah agreed to these terms and said goodbye to the party. Volk Lesnoy, though rather reluctant about this matter, promised her a date, should she ever return. And with that, Kaliah stepped into the circle... and both she and the Shoosuva disappeared, as it deactivated.
After reconvening with Cerviel and Cipactli, the rest of the party then slowly made their way back to Limni Diluvi in the city of Tepemekuauitl over the next three days. Informing Limni of the successful retrieval of the Court Sword, but also of Kaliah's departure, Limni then decided to return to Argentis for a short time, in order to petition the Liwilai Adventurer's Guild for a replacement party member. Cipactli decided to tag along with Limni for the rest of this Wildspace-Journey, too.
A day of travel back to Sancstoryl later, the party made their way to the Adventurer's Guild HQ and talked with Marlène Lebas, who intended to contact Ukren... when suddenly, Maylin Aeleni came along. After some talking, she decided to send one of the adventurers working under her to the party... a little, ancient magic Maton called M.U.61, Magister Unit 61, or "MUGI" as they preferred to call themselves.
After some introductions, and Limni noticing the rather striking similarities in his construction to G.U-VI, which MUGI confirmed to indeed be of a parallel line of Mata as GUVI's Guardian Units, and it's been looking for many of its siblings over the past two millennia. Either way, with MUGI hired, the party then decided to re-board the Flying Fish and make their way to their next stop; the shattered desert-planet of Ljuha, where they were supposed to meet another one of Limni's and Cipactli's contacts, by the edges of one of the shattered landmasses of the planet.
The next one and a half days of travel involved finding a magical dart in a wrecked spelljamming vessel, as well as a meeting with a Giff captain, who asked if the party had noticed any pirate activity. Said captain also warned the party about increased pirate activity in Sanctospace in the past four years; namely some Githyanki pirates in The Shards, the Asteroid Belt of Sanctospace, as well as a Tiefling Pirate Captain, who recruited some Githyanki, but is now also in the crosshairs of some other Githyanki Pirates who wish to take him down. This made Limni wonder if this Tiefling was indeed the one he was thinking about.
Shortly before arrival on Ljuha, Suzzaeth was able to notice some Night Scavvers; another type of space shark, but unlike last time, these were edible. And so, the party decided to take these particular ones on, in order to gather more rations; and they were able to quite handedly overwhelm them.
