A member of the Skaal village on Solstheim. Avid for contests of strength and capability, he did not pay much heed to the goings on in the Skaal Village, but is aware to some degree of the past and the connections the village has to figures like Svarog, Miraak, Hermaeus Mora, and the family line of the Village Shaman, including Storn, Frea, and Leif.
Val won the first round of the Tournament of the Eternal Champion, being named the Champion of Cyrodiil. As a result, he gained a very emphatic, very energetic, very adoring fan; a female Bosmer by the name of Iallen. She wanted to be trained by, and follow Val in his travels, after the tournament in Cyrodiil had ended.
