The Lords' Alliance, also known as the Council of Lords, is a coalition of independent cities and towns from The Sword Coast, The Savage North, and The Western Heartlands. The organization was founded to oppose a number of forces threatening civilization in these regions including Luskan, The Zhentarim, the nation of Amn and its powerful thieves guilds, the kingdom of Calimshan, and the orc hordes, pirates, and raiders endemic to northwest Faerûn.
The current membership of the Alliance includes Amphail, Baldur's Gate, Daggerford, Longsaddle, Mithral Hall, Mirabar, Silverymoon, Waterdeep, and Yartar. Neverwinter is still technically a member of the Alliance, but lacking any leadership to speak for the city, it is a member in name only.
