The Sword Mountains are a large mountain range along the north Sword Coast. They run hundreds of miles east-west from the coast to inland Triboar, and north-south from the southern edge of Neverwinter Wood to Waterdeep. The mountains and hills are well-known to be home for many tribes of orcs and goblins, which have, in the past, produced large hordes that laid siege to and destroyed many cities.
