The Host Tower of the Arcane was a wizard's tower in the city of Luskan that housed The Arcane Brotherhood. The Tower was raised magically in the Year of the Many Maws, -354 DR, by the Netherese mage Melathar, when the city was still known as Illusk. It resembled a gigantic tree made of black stone with numerous large limbs which climbed vertically into the sky and was, by far, the most prominent building in Luskan. The Host Tower was destroyed in the Year of the Bent Blade, 1376 DR, when the archmage Arklem Greeth set off a magical explosion that blew off the top of the tower, leaving only the base intact.
