    • She admits to Vala that they love antiquing together which Vala adores.
  • The Party collects 20 Fresh Water Rations from the clear pool in the cave
  • Slûûp informs The Party that he’s been looking after the welfare of Persi while he is ill
    • Slûûp reports that he continues to nurse Persi but cannot cure his illness
      • This level of Gruumsh’s Revenge is debilitating but not life threatening
      • Once the Revenge leaves Persi’s system, he will be well again
    • Rig emphasizes that neither she nor Vala want to smell the piss and shit from Persi’s illness
      • Slûûp mentions that his life as a slave to Orc and Bugbear masters was full of many lessons in cleaning up excrement
    • When Rig gives Slûûp 3 GP for helping out with Persi, he is blindsided by the revelation that was the first time anyone gave him his own, personal money

    • Slûûp mentions that his mother was a very powerful shaman of the Goblin deity, Maglubiyet, who performed disgusting and heinous rituals to the accursed deity
      • Slûûp was drawn toward the light of Oghma because he was enamored with harnessing clerical power drawn from knowledge itself, rather than from the debasement he witnessed in the blind worshippers of the Greater Deity who led the Goblinoid pantheon
    • Slûûp demonstrates some of his power with clerical magic to:
      • Summon a glowing orb of light
      • Mend Rig’s damaged stilettos - retcon this with Cara

      • Meteor showers tend to happen with supernatural frequency in the area, dropping many lodestones into the Starmetal Hills
      • Vala mentions that she knows of the place due to her family’s heavy involvement in mining in the Neverwinter region
      • Rig notices it “odd that Vala’s father was a miner,” thinking it would be a strange working class job for the father of such a high falutin’ Lady
      • Vala clarifies that her father was more of an owner of mines, and that he also happened to be a piece of shit
      • Rig is also surprised to find out that Vala is of noble blood
      • Slûûp had figured out Vala was a “Lady” upon their meeting, for him she seemed to have the natural bearing of person of means
  • Orthanc casts Druidcraft and reaches into his close bonds with the land to see that the day will have weather amenable to travel

  • The Party huddles to determine what they want from Hamund and how they want to present themselves upon reaching him
    • Vala and Rig clearly recognized Hamund Kost as a Red Wizard of Thay and that makes him dangerous
    • Slûûp mentions that it is a strange place for a Thayan to be, but Thay has tradesman, archeologists, and arcanists studying places of power in all parts of Faerun
    • Vala and Rig are immediately set on killing Hamund, simply because he is a Thayan necromancer who they do not trust to be here.
      • Vala speaks vehemently against slavery and slavers, condemning the entire nation for the practice.
    • Orthanc describes that slavery is unknown to his people. He had heard it described and knows that his people would never support such a social institution. Goliaths would believe that if a slave was strong enough and able to kill his master, that the slave should be rewarded with his master’s social status.
      • He has no opinion of Hamund Kost or his ways but is also fine with the idea of killing him if Vala supports it
      • Vala says she feels it is her personal responsibility as a mage to use her gifts to rid the world of evil magic users who would use their arcane power to harm and control others, hoping this statement will soothe Rig's distrust of her.

    • The Party then stops and seems to have an animated conversation amongst themselves as the zombies stare at them with witless eyes

    •  The remainder of The Party then begins walking toward the entrance to the Old Owl Well Again

    • Vala pulls the two Many-Arrows banners from the horse cart offering him the Kingdom of Many Arrows Skin Banner, masking her disgust.
    • Vala cheerfully announces to Hamund that they had completed the mission for him, attempting to distract his attention from the “Rig Situation”
    • Hamund is annoyed at Rig’s absence and agrees to exchange proof of the destruction of the Many-Arrows raid party for the reward to be mediated by some of his zombie
    • Rig succeeds on sneaking closer and closer toward the wall of the compound to get a line of sight on Hamund
    • Hamund recognizes the Many-Arrows symbol but is very surprised to see it branded on a banner made from flayed human skin
      • Hamund also expresses his gratitude for the effective completion of the quest and one of his zombies gives Vala 200 GP
